UTE

UTE (Újpesti Torna Egylet) club is the oldest of Hungary. It was founded in 1885 and last year celebrated 130 years of history. Team colors are purple and white.

Volleyball section exists since 1948, with both the women's and men's teams. In 40 years it has achieved many successful results. Men's team has won all championships from 1955 to 1963, while the women's team from 1963 to 1968. Also, in cup competitions they finished on the podium, always in the top three.

In 1990 the women's team broke up, and two years later fell to the male. The players thus passed to another club, Tungsram S.C. After 16 years, in July 15, 2008 UTE was re-founded, but with only the female team. In addition to the main team, the youth sector has currently 120 registered female girls, born between 2009 and 1998.

Last season the main team reached third place in both Championship and Cup competitions. Even this year it was ranked third in the Championship.
