8TH INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT – Memorial ENRICO DE FAVERI

A.S.D. Volley Piave is organizing, on 28th - 29th September 2013, the 8th INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT – ENRICO DE FAVERI MEMORIAL, an international, federal female volleyball tournament for 15 teams, reserved for athletes born in 1997 and later (playing league Female Under 17).
The last edition was a remarkable success in the area and in the sport environment: over 2000 spectators, 250 athletes, managers, coaches and referees, 50 organizers and volunteers. Thanks to the high level played during the matches, the tournament was called by Mr. Piaser, the Vice-president of the volleyball Federation of Veneto Region, the most important volleyball female competition under 17 in the whole of Italy.
The organization of this big event is possible thanks to some sponsors and volunteers that believe in this contest. The tournament could be a perfect tool to reduce the geographical distances and cultural differences: not only a competition, but also a great possibility of meeting girls, coming from different parts of Europe and having the pleasure to friendly share the passion for volleyball.
The International aspect of the tournament makes the competition more stimulating and, moreover, represents a wonderful possibility to promote integration value in the new generations.

- From Poland: LTS Legionovia

The matches will be played in Sernaglia della Battaglia local gym, Falzè di Piave primary school, Col San Martino school gym, Moriago della Battaglia school gym, Rua di Feletto local gym. In Rua di Feletto the final matches will be played on Sunday afternoon as well.
The tournament is sponsored by Veneto Region, Province of Treviso, the districts of Farra di Soligo, Moriago della Battaglia, Sernaglia della Battaglia, Pieve di Soligo and San Pietro di Feletto, Fipav (Italian federal Volleyball Association). During the event, the FIPAV will organize refresher courses for referees, coaches and managers.
As tradition, this year, the Friendship tournament will support a non-profit association of the area, the Careni Cultural Association, that has involved more than 200 young people for many years. In particular, we would like to highlight WE LOVE CARENI project, a social activity focus on the gathering of founds to buy a digital projector, a necessary technology to carry on with the cinema.
